Guidance

Better guidance today. Brighter tomorrows.

Guidance in Zynaut Pathways comes from a person — a counsellor, a mentor, an adviser — with your record open between you and the reasoning behind every suggested step shown in plain words. The system shows its working. A person advises.

We do not tell you what to do. The record shows what your evidence supports and why one step is suggested; a person helps you choose your own path.

Supporting you always

Guidance for every stage.

Seven questions a person brings to an adviser — at school, at work and in between. Not seven services. Each is answered by a person, with your record open and the reasoning shown.

For advisers and mentors
  • AcademicWhich subjects, which course, which college — and what does my record already say about each?
  • CareerWhich direction is worth my effort, and what would I need to show to move that way?
  • SkillsWhich one gap matters most for where I am heading, and why that one first?
  • College & universityWhich place, and on what grounds — with my own evidence beside the choice, not a ranking.
  • ExamsWhat is coming, how do I prepare, and what does one result mean once it is in the record?
  • Life & wellbeingHow do I keep going, balance what I carry, and decide what to leave for later?
  • FinancialHow will I pay for it, and what help exists? A question for a person who knows — never a product placed in front of you.

How guidance works here

Ask. Explore. Choose — with a person beside you.

The record shows the distance between what your evidence supports and where you want to go, and why one step is suggested over another. A counsellor, mentor or adviser — assigned under a permission you hold — reads that reasoning with you, and the advice they give is kept in your record. The system does not advise.

  • Advice from a person you or your institution chose
  • The reasoning behind a suggested step, in plain words
  • Your adviser sees the gap — never your raw evidence
  • The advice given is recorded in your record
  • A permission you hold, and can end

What they never seeYour raw evidence, or anything you wrote in your own words.
Where their advice goesInto your record, marked as theirs, for as long as you keep it.

An adviser does not grade, certify, diagnose or rank anyone. The permission is yours, and you can end it.

What an adviser sees

Published to both of you.

An adviser is assigned to you under a permission you hold, and what they can and cannot see is published to both of you. The same rules appear on the advisers' page, from their side.

  • What your adviser sees

    • The gap you are working on, and the reasoning behind the suggested next step
    • A place in your record for the advice they gave you
    • Introductions you asked them to make
  • What your adviser never sees or does

    • Your raw evidence
    • A grade, a certificate, a diagnosis or a rank — they give none
    • Anything outside the permission you hold, which you can end
  • What stays yours

    • Every piece of evidence, and who added it
    • The choice — advice is advice, not a decision made for you
    • The permission itself: recorded, and yours to end

Real people. Real guidance.

What a guidance conversation looks like.

Three illustrative conversations. In each, the record shows the reasoning and a person does the advising.

  • Four young women in college blazer uniforms sit closely around a table in a corridor, smiling and pointing together at photos in an open magazine.Illustrative journey

    A school student choosing subjects

Brings one question to her school counsellor: which stream? The record shows what her evidence supports and the gap between that and each direction she named, with the reasoning. The counsellor talks it through. The choice, and the advice, are recorded as hers.

  • A man seated at a desk in a bright office reads an orange folder, with dual monitors behind him.Illustrative journey

    A professional after a redundancy

Is assigned a mentor through a programme, under a permission he holds. The mentor sees the one gap that matters for the direction he wants, and why — never his raw evidence. The next step is one piece of work, not a course, and it enters the record when done.

  • A red-sandstone university building with a lattice facade, a green lawn and students walking near its entrance.Illustrative journey

    A college placement office

Acts as an adviser a student chose, not as a gatekeeper. It sees the gap between her evidence and the placements she named, and the reasoning; it gains no search over students. The advice it gives is recorded in her record, and the introduction stays hers to make.

Illustrative journeys, written to show what the design is for. Zynaut Pathways is in development and no customer story, testimonial or measured outcome is published yet.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions about guidance, answered.

All questions
  • Does the system tell me what to do?

No. The record shows what your evidence currently supports, the one gap that matters for where you are heading, and why one step is suggested over another. A counsellor, mentor or adviser reads that with you and advises. The system shows its reasoning; it does not advise, and it never decides for you.

  • Who can be my adviser?

A counsellor, a mentor or an adviser assigned to you under a permission you hold — through your school, college, employer or a programme, or someone you chose yourself. What they can and cannot see is published to both of you, and the permission can be ended by you.

  • Is Pathways career counselling?

Not in the usual sense. Guidance tells you which direction to face. The record shows what your evidence currently supports, the one gap that matters, and how to show you closed it — with a person in the advisory role. It sits beside the counselling you already have; it does not replace it.

  • Can my parents see the advice I was given?

Only under a recorded permission, and only as how your record is growing and what it suggests next, in plain words. They never see the evidence itself, anything you entered in your own words, or any comparison with other children. The permission can be ended.

What is not claimed. No customer, adoption figure, outcome, partnership or certification is published anywhere on this site, because none has been verified. Every design fact here is a commitment about how the record is built, not a report of results.
